Pre-charge Resistor for ASI/BAC Inrush Current Reduction
If you have a high output battery on your electric motorbike, you need a pre-charge resistor. Pre-charging the capacitors in high-power controllers is required or you risk premature failure of components.
With the system circuit breaker in the open position, the pre-charge resistor provides the necessary inrush current limit to prevent damage to your controller. All in-field controllers must have this retrofitted for controller reliability.
